Originally published on December 9, 2005: Move Israel to Europe? Let's Relocate Other Countries Too!
Iran's America-hating, Israel-bashing president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that if Germany and Austria feel responsible for massacring Jews during World War II, they should move the state of Israel to Germany or Austria. (CNN)
I had no idea that entire countries full of people could just be picked up and “moved” from place to place.
But now that the idea is on the table, here are some ideas for other countries to relocate:
Nation |
Move To |
Reason |
Greenland |
Jamaica |
Warmer climate will do them good |
North Korea |
Iran |
Consolidates the axis of evil |
China |
Solomon Islands |
Just to see if they can fit all 1 billion people |
Iraq |
Fiji |
More pleasant place for U.S. soldiers to fight |
Japan |
Ireland |
Should produce interesting accents |
India |
Pakistan |
Let them fight it out once and for all |
Mexico |
United States |
Never mind -- we're already doing this |

Well, in ancient times the Hebrew empire included Syria. And I notice that Iran has a lot of vacant land. How about moving the Syrians to Iran? The Allawite and Sunni of Syria actually intensely disklike the Shia of Iran, but that’s OK. What’s a little hate?
As Obama says, it’s time to “spread things around”. Of course, once Syria is empty, the Israelis could have it.
And Israel could also deport the Palestinians to Iran. How about that for a “one state solution?”
