A lawyer for Guantanamo enemy combatant detainees has dropped his pants at a press conference.
Clearly we are pressing well beyond the limits of creative legal scholarship here.
It's just like they taught me in law school:
1. If the law is against you, argue the facts.
2. If the facts are against you, argue the law.
3. If the facts and law are against you, pound the table.
And now, in new, creative legal tactic:
4. If the facts, law, reason, common sense, and common decency are all against you -- drop your pants!
I can't wait to see the next maneuver. Maybe a naked Abu Ghraib pyramid of lawyers? The horror.
