FIRST, let me say I never said this. But on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being not all racist, and 10 being extremely racist, how would you rate this passage?

I am a white person living in a predominantly Black city, attending a Black college.
Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the white community I was somehow obligated to the white community and would use all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. My experiences at this college have made me more aware of my "whiteness" than ever before...
These experiences have made it apparent to me that the path I have chosen to follow by attending this college will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a Black cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of Black society...
Elements of white culture which make it different from Black culture such as musical styles, the linguistic forms, the struggles and a "consciousness" shared by whites in this city may be attributed to the injustices and oppression suffered by whites living here...
However, with the increasing integration of whites into this Black society, many whites have lost touch with white culture in their attempts to become adjusted and comfortable in their new culture – the Black culture. Some of these whites are no longer able to enjoy the qualities which make white culture so unique or are unable to share their culture openly with other whites because they have become so far removed from these experiences and, in some instances, ashamed of them because of their integration.
Of course, if you switched all the 'black' words to 'white', and all the 'white' words to 'black', you wouldn't be racist at all. But you might dance better.
