utterly misleading and irresponsible and I hereby request in the
interest of fairness and accuracy that the network air the President's
responses to both initial questions in full on the two programs that
used the excerpts."

One common MSM game is to put words in the President's mouth regarding something he said. In this case they did outrageously misleading video edits of an interview. Then when the President says the same thing later, they can create 'news' by proclaiming that he lied, or changed his mind, or is backtracking, or is indecisive.
