Byron York has a good question: When Barack Obama compares, as if they were equivalent: (a) a man who plotted to bomb the Pentagon, and says he doesn't regret setting bombs and wishes he had done more, and (b) a senator who non-violently advocates an extreme position with which Obama disagrees -- what does that say about Obama's judgment?
We can't measure Obama entirely by the company he keeps -- Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Michelle Obama, Wiliam Ayers -- but voters certainly can and must consider whether he is a good judge of character. We also must consider whether the values reflected by Obama's choice of associates are values that we share.
Obama takes spiritual guidance from a man who has openly called for America's damnation. He has accepted campaign support from a man who took it a step further and bombed his own country. He married a woman who has never been proud of America in her adult life, at least until Obama's campaign took off.
Active dislike for America does not seem to be a disqualifying condition for a close long-term personal association with Barack Obama. On the contrary, it is apparently preferred.
It makes one wonder what type of cabinet Obama would pick, and what type of mischief that adminstration would wreak. We're beginning to get a glimpse of his kitchen cabinet, and it's not reassuring.
Hello, thanks for the welcome...Ms. Cobb. Esq.
I have been following Don Subers FINE Blog for over a year. Statrted with a Strong post on Iraq war compared to the pull out of the "V" war years ago and what are we going to say to our friends the Iraq people if we just quit?
Have a good day - PS Mr. O's Cabinet would be not look like the America I know - but may be what we deserve if citizens don't read inquire and dig into the associations and company that candidates keep. Same for Mac - but we know alot about him. gp
