I normally have no opinion on who should win a beauty contest.
But Gateway Pundit is urging a vote for Miss Utah "GI Jill" Stevens, an army medic who served in Afghanistan. The public gets to help choose a "16th" finalist to be included in te Miss America Pageant. If you live in the United States or its terrotories, you can vote once per day between now and Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 3:00am Eastern Standard Time.
There is a one (1) vote per person per day limit during the Voting Period. The Miss America contestant who receives the most eligible and verified votes during the Voting Period and who is not already included as a top 15 finalist in the Miss America Pageant, as chosen by the Miss America Pageant judges (“Top 15”), will be chosen to become the “16th finalist” in the Miss America Pageant.
You can vote for "GI Jill" at the Miss America TLC website-- HERE. You may have to wait for the page to load. When a map of the United State appears, click on Jill Stevens' home state of Utah and cast your vote.
It's an unusual way to support the troops, but sure, why not?
