William Kristol writes in the Weekly Standard that we must not let Abu Musab al Zarqawi achieve in death what he could not achieve in life -- the expulsion of the U.S. from Iraq. Kristol contends that, rather than using Zarqawi's death as an excuse to pull our troops and run, it's time to redouble our efforts to destroy what remains of the terrorist insurgency in Iraq.
Kristol also points out that "if we had followed the advice of those who want to pull out from Iraq, Abu Musab al Zarqawi would today be alive and well, and triumphant."
True. And he'd be busy slaughtering more innocent civilians.
