CNN has an interesting article on how 9/11 al Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui came to be arrested while he was attending flight school at Pan Am International Flight Academy in Eagan, Minnesota less than a month before September 11, 2001.
Moussaoui said he was an international consultant, but didn't dress the part. He claimed to want to fly a passenger jumbo jet solely in order to be able to brag to his friends that he could do it. Two of the last straws were that Moussaoui asked a flight instructor how to turn off the oxygen in the passenger cabin and how to disconnect the transponder used to track the plane.
This report is worthwhile reading because preparations for further attacks could easily be taking place under our noses right now. Vigilance remains critically important.
