I don't know quite what to make of a stampede in Saudia Arabia during a "symbolic stoning ritual" at the hajj pilgrimage to Mecca that left 345 people dead and 1000 injured. The idea was to symbolically stone the devil. Someone tripped, and hundreds were trampled to death.
It's not the first time:
"The site in the desert of Mina outside the holy city of Mecca is a notorious bottleneck in the weeklong pilgrimage and has seen deadly incidents in seven of the past 17 years, including a stampede in 1990 that killed 1,426 people and one in 2004 that killed 244."
Enough is enough.

Update: The way Scrappleface sees it, in the match between the pilgrims and the devil, the devil won.
