You sure can run through money fast when you drop half a million dollars at once for office renovations during a post-Katrina state budget crisis. Because you've really gotta have your "two flat screen televisions, Swedish granite countertops, walnut paneling and frosted laminated glass," among other things.
I guess this is why Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco thinks she needs the American taxpayers to fork over some $250 BILLION in federal "Katrina" aid. Yes, you read that right -- over half a million for every resident of New Orleans before the hurricane.
I enjoy seeing my tax dollars at work.
And soon, I will.
In Blanco's office, in her staff's offices, in her consultants, in her wardrobe . . . .
