An investigation has concluded that a television station committed no wrong when it broadcast the following statements  made in a mosque in Britain:

• "Allah created the woman deficient"
• "By the age of 10, it becomes an obligation on us to force her (young girls) to wear hijab and if she doesn't wear hijab, we hit her"
• "Take that homosexual and throw him off the mountain"
• "Whoever changes his religion from Al Islam to anything else - kill him in the Islamic state"

It is obvious, from observing the violent fruits of the Islamic jihad, that these types of things and much worse are being taught in mosques around the world.  It helps, however, to have hard evidence in hand.  With the type of proof that Britain's Channel 4 so courageously gathered, Western societies begin to come to grips with the source of this global cancer.

Pamela Geller argues, as I have, that Obama WILL NEVER be accused of apostasy, because he is still a Muslim.  In Islam, it is acceptable to assume the mantle of a different faith if it furthers the cause of Islam.

To a large extent, that's what the Spanish Inquisition was about.  Yes, they persecuted Jews, but they were also trying to root out Muslims who stayed in Spain after the 'Reconquista' was completed in 1491. 

Some Muslims who stayed and "converted" to Christianity became assassins, or in other ways preyed upon non-Muslims.

Is This a Hate Crime -- Or Just Funny?

Recently several Muslim men were acquitted after charges  arose from a backwoods area they had set up.  They went there to uh, "camp", and uh, "shoot weapons", and uh, "shout Jihad".  They successfully argued they were just kidding around.

Another case was also going on. In Halifax, Canada, prosecutors were going after three accused terrorists, but recently the charges had to be stayed, and they were released from jail.  Then one man's wife began threatening to sue the federal  government, for, uh, like doing something bad.  She said to reporters, "I want millions, seriously..."  The cartoon depicts her quite accurately.

Then this cartoon recently appeared in a Halifax newspaper (Chronicle Herald).  Then the same woman complained to the local Human Rights Commission, claiming that the cartoon is a hate crime.  What do you think?

"Murderous Islamic Leader Will Not be Missed"

A key Islamist leader in Somalia has been killed.  He was Aden Hashi Ayro.

The U.S. has confirmed the strike.  The house of Ayro was destroyed.  He was thought to be the leading Al Qaeda commander in Somalia.

Another senior leader, Muhiyadin Muhammad Umar, and about 10 others were also killed.

Ayro is thought to be responsible for the murders of 16 non-Somalians, including the BBC journalist Kate Peyton.

A spokesman for Ayro's gang said he didn't like it and it wasn't fair because they were not warned they were going to be bombed.

The death of Ayro reminds me of a passage by Sappho, the Greek poetess who lived on Lesbos, ca. 600 BC:

"Forever shalt thou lie dead, nor shall there be any remembrance of thee now or hereafter, for never has thou had any of the roses of Pieria;  but thou shalt wander, eternally unregarded in the houses of Hades, flitting among the insubstantial shades."

"Why We Left Islam" -- New Book

"Why We Left Islam: Former Muslims Speak Out" WND Books; hardcover; ISBN 9780979267109; April 29, 2008, edited by Joel Richardson and Susan Crimp.

The book compiles testimonies of ex-Muslims.  The book features a portrait of Muhammad on the cover.  It provides first-person accounts of 23 men and women and their struggles to quit Islam.  It sounds like the book will become "controversial" among Islamists.  It's certainly more direct and impactful that Salman Rushdie's works.

There may or may not be a Muslim backlash.  Sooner or later the Islamists will get tired of rioting over every little thing.  I was thinking that "E-Z Martyr" would be good for at least a few blood-spitting tirades, but I have nothing yet.  It took me a while to photo-shop that garbage truck.

Predictably CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) doesn't like the book.  In fact they have been really quite rude about it.  The Communist MSM doesn't like it either.  It doesn't fit their "narrative".

CAIR has been named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in an alleged effort to direct millions in funding to Hamas.  Representative Sue Myrick (R-NY) has referred to evidence that suggests CAIR is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood.  Richardson, a co-editor of the book, referred to a WorldNetDaily report which linked 14 CAIR officials to terror investigations.

Success Against Thailand Jihadis

The situation in Thailand is more proof that if you keep fighting the Islamists you can win.  About 3% of Thailand  is Muslim, and they mainly live in the South.  Islamic militants tried to set up an Islamic state in the South, with not much success.  They conducted the usual bombings and sporadic attacks on the military, but the military held their ground.  Next, the Islamists started attacking government sympathizers, a very unpopular move. 

This seems to be a  pattern in Islamist insurrections.  Repeated Islamist failures against the military lead to frustration.  Then they attack Muslim government sympathizers, which loses them popularity.  Then they try a reign of terror against the moderate Muslims. 

This works a bit for a while, but it worsens the Islamist's popularity even more.  The moderate Muslims feel oppressed.  If the moderate Muslims can call on a trustworthy government militia or military to defend them, then they ask for their help.  Then the moderates show the military how to find the Islamists, who are killed or captured.  Then peace ensues.

As counter-jihadists, we need to understand these stages more clearly, so we can help facilitate and speed up the progression through each stage.

"...Watching democracy's works in the US, where commander of the US army in Iraq and an ambassador, answer to the questions of the elected officials for 9 hours, makes you wonder when this kind of a scene may be possible in a country like Iran, where not only the people do not have access to the information (for instance why is Iranian money and man-power is engaged in creating chaos in a neighbouring country) but even many of the high-ranking officials are kept in the dark by those who are operating behind the scenes... 

I listened to the senators’ speeches, Obama, Clinton and McCain. I agree with Mr McCain's assertions on Iraq; they seemed courageous and noble...  both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, wanted to retreat from Iraq as soon as possible... I could not exactly grasp the point why!... I think they are both doomed...

The US is losing vast amounts of money in its operations in Iraq and it is actually paying for most of the Iraqi reconstruction, while Iraq is selling its oil in the free market and the money is not being spent properly because Al Qaeda terrorists, and the Iranian-backed groups, are disrupting the reconciliation and reconstruction efforts... the US has the moral obligation to stay in Iraq and create a stable democracy and a prosperous society. It can be done, but it may take time. It can be done because also Iraq has oil. It is as simple as that...  Without the US, Iraq will be the battleground of both Iraqi factions and also foreign meddlers, for years and years to come...Iran will be no friend of a free Iraq if the Americans will retreat...

Iran does not have Iraq's oil compared to the population (it has much less oil per capita), and the more Iran's neighbours prosper the more the Iranian regime fears for its survival... Many American politicians, mostly left-leaning, say that America must focus on Afghanistan, rather than Iraq... 

Afghanistan is a primitive country, with extremely poor infrastructure...  Afghanistan can do well, but it cannot become something like the UAE. But Iraq can. That is why America needs to focus on Iraq more. Will Al Qaeda continue to use Afghanistan as one of its land bases? Possibly! But as far as we know Al Qaeda is based in Pakistan, rather than Afghanistan...

Actually Al Qaeda does not necessarily need such a base. Al Qaeda is more like a state of mind, and it can stay alive and well in the minds of ordinary dissatisfied Sunni Muslims, especially young and naive ones, as long as there are serious reasons for their being so. Al Qaeda can do quite well in the cyber-space, as it already is doing...

The best way to tackle Al Qaeda is to tackle its foundation where it attracts its followers, by proving it wrong, through the promotion of prosperity and democracy in Iraq, where the only serious chance of having some sort of a success story (as senator McCain was also saying) exists. A free and prosperous Iraq will do the greatest damage to Islamic extremism. And this will also be a huge blow for the Iranian fundamentalist regime, and definitely good for the Iranian people and their future."

Commission Issues Statement on Decision in Maclean's Cases TORONTO, April 9 /CNW/ - The Ontario Human Rights Commission has decided not to proceed with complaints filed against Maclean's magazine related to its publication of an article "The future belongs to Islam." The complainants alleged that the content of the article and Maclean's refusal to provide space for a rebuttal violated their human rights. The decision means that the complaints will not be referred to a hearing before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.  Denying a service because of race or creed can form the basis for a human rights complaint. However, the Ontario Human Rights Code does not give the Commission the jurisdiction to deal with the content of magazine articles through its complaint process.   

Even though the Commission is not proceeding with these complaints, it still has a broader role in addressing the tension and conflict that such writings cause in the community and the impact that they have on the groups that are being singled out.  While freedom of expression must be recognized as a cornerstone of a functioning democracy, the Commission strongly condemns the Islamophobic portrayal of Muslims, Arabs, South Asians and indeed any racialized community in the media, such as the Maclean's article and others like them, as being inconsistent with the values enshrined in our human rights codes. Media has a responsibility to engage in fair and unbiased journalism.  "Clearly more debate on this issue is required in Canada," commented Chief Commissioner Barbara Hall. Charter School Using Taxpayer Money to Teach Islam; Christians Take Heed

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that a charter school is apparently taking taxpayer dollars to run what is for practical purposes an Islamic school:

Recently, I wrote about Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA), a K-8 charter school in Inver Grove Heights. Charter schools are public schools and by law must not endorse or promote religion.

Evidence suggests, however, that TIZA is an Islamic school, funded by Minnesota taxpayers.

TIZA has many characteristics that suggest a religious school. It shares the headquarters building of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, whose mission is "establishing Islam in Minnesota." The building also houses a mosque. TIZA's executive director, Asad Zaman, is a Muslim imam, or religious leader, and its sponsor is an organization called Islamic Relief.

Students pray daily, the cafeteria serves halal food - permissible under Islamic law -- and "Islamic Studies" is offered at the end of the school day.

Zaman maintains that TIZA is not a religious school. He declined, however, to allow me to visit the school to see for myself, "due to the hectic schedule for statewide testing." But after I e-mailed him that the Minnesota Department of Education had told me that testing would not begin for several weeks, Zaman did not respond -- even to urgent calls and e-mails seeking comment before my first column on TIZA.

Now, however, an eyewitness has stepped forward. Amanda Getz of Bloomington is a substitute teacher. She worked as a substitute in two fifth-grade classrooms at TIZA on Friday, March 14. Her experience suggests that school-sponsored religious activity plays an integral role at TIZA.

Arriving on a Friday, the Muslim holy day, she says she was told that the day's schedule included a "school assembly" in the gym after lunch.

Before the assembly, she says she was told, her duties would include taking her fifth-grade students to the bathroom, four at a time, to perform "their ritual washing."

Afterward, Getz said, "teachers led the kids into the gym, where a man dressed in white with a white cap, who had been at the school all day," was preparing to lead prayer. Beside him, another man "was prostrating himself in prayer on a carpet as the students entered."

"The prayer I saw was not voluntary," Getz said. "The kids were corralled by adults and required to go to the assembly where prayer occurred."

Islamic Studies was also incorporated into the school day. "When I arrived, I was told 'after school we have Islamic Studies,' and I might have to stay for hall duty," Getz said. "The teachers had written assignments on the blackboard for classes like math and social studies. Islamic Studies was the last one -- the board said the kids were studying the Qu'ran. The students were told to copy it into their planner, along with everything else. That gave me the impression that Islamic Studies was a subject like any other."

After school, Getz's fifth-graders stayed in their classroom and the man in white who had led prayer in the gym came in to teach Islamic Studies. TIZA has in effect extended the school day -- buses leave only after Islamic Studies is over. Getz did not see evidence of other extra-curricular activity, except for a group of small children playing outside. Significantly, 77 percent of TIZA parents say that their "main reason for choosing TIZA ... was because of after-school programs conducted by various non-profit organizations at the end of the school period in the school building," according to a TIZA report. TIZA may be the only school in Minnesota with this distinction.

If this report is true, TIZA is being run much like a private Christian school.  The only difference is that TIZA is being paid for by taxpayers, establishing a governmentally-sponsored financial advantage for Muslims over other religions.

As Robert Spencer has written:

Can you imagine a public school founded by two Christian ministers, and housed in the same building as a church? Add to that -- in the same building -- a prominent chapel. And let’s say the students are required to fast during Lent, and attend Bible studies right after school. All with your tax dollars.

Inconceivable? Sure. If such a place existed, the ACLU lawyers would descend on it like locusts. It would be shut down before you could say “separation of church and state,” to the accompaniment of New York Times and Washington Post editorials full of indignant foreboding, warning darkly about the growing influence of the Religious Right in America.

But such a school does exist in Minnesota, in a different religious context, and so far the ACLU has uttered nary a peep.

Christian schools in Minnesota should take heed and re-establish themselves as charter schools, using all the same tactics TIZA does.  Something good will come of it.  Either Minnesota will be forced to bring TIZA into compliance, or it will have to allow all religions to operate charter schools.

Wright Muslim, Wrong President?

Gina, your posting about Wright being a former Muslim is huge.  It suggests a lot to me:

(1) Wright uses the pulpit as Muslims do in mosques, to preach politics and hate.

(2) It may explain why Wright hates America so much, strongly opposes the Iraq war, and is viciously anti-semitic.

(3) It explains why Wright's newsletter supports Hamas.

(4) It explains why Wright conferred honors upon the Muslim extremist Louis Farrakhan in December, 2007.

(5) In times of conflict, Muslims are permitted to falsely "convert" to Judaism or Christianity.  They can remain in this state indefinitely until called upon by other Muslims to return to Islam.

(6) It is hard to explain why neither Obama or Wright have been accused of renouncing their religion (apostasy) by Muslim leaders.

(7) Thus the question, are either Wright or Obama actually Christians at this time?  I think the American people deserve a clear explanation from Obama regarding what religion he actually belongs to. (Atlas Shrugged is all over this).  Americans can make up their own minds once they know, but they do have the right to know.

"Special treatment of immigrants means that ordinary British people are losing out."  Agree 69%
