Where political "correctness" has led America . . .
There's nothing wrong with teaching children the major tenets of various religions, but having them join in prayers of a religion other than their own is outrageous.
The fact that the religion being favored here is the one observed by less than 1% of Americans is doubly outrageous. If any religion should be getting extra emphasis, it's the one three quarters of Americans share -- Christianity.
And the fact that Christians aren't generally engaged in mass slaughter of innocents around the world the way Islamists are all around the world today should count for quite a lot.
Does the fact that the perpetrators of these acts -- and the other 16,000-plus deadly attacks since -- were devout adherents of this particular religion give anyone in the schools across America any pause?
