This has to be the scariest headline of the day, up at Drudge Report:
ON BAILOUTS AS SENATE VOTES
And don't look for any help from Obama. Not only does he have no clue how to fix the economy (hint: big government is not the answer), but now he's decided to do his imitation of Gerald Ford.
the door on Marine One is much shorter than he is,
and bumps his head slightly, Monday, Feb 9, 2009, as
he leaves for a trip to Andrews Air Force Base, Md.
and then onto Elkhart, Ind. to hold a town hall meeting
on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan."

Hey, the "messiah" is human. Who'da thunk? If he was quietly, unobrusively human, and keeping his hand out of taxpayers' pockets, I'd have no problem with that. But Obama and Democrats in Congress have decided to go large and mortgage the nation's future to solidify their political power. That is a big, big problem.

"he's decided to do his imitation of Gerald Ford."
Ah! But nowhere as good as his imitation of Jimmy Carter!

So you need to make fun of President Obama? That is the way forward, according to the GOP? I was gonna call you schoolyard pranksters, but that would be an insult to schoolchildren everywhere. You folks are pathetic.

Dear Jumbo. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. But did you read my entire post?
"If he was quietly, unobrusively human, and keeping his hand out of taxpayers' pockets, I'd have no problem with that. But Obama and Democrats in Congress have decided to go large and mortgage the nation's future to solidify their political power. That is a big, big problem."
Do you like multi-trillion dollar pork? Do you think that any government spending, even on trees or condoms or grass, boosts the economy somehow? If so, does it boost the economy enough to offset the negative effects of siphoning those same trilions out of the private sector? Do you realize how much waste is built into every government program, no matter how well intentioned?
By the way, if you think "making fun" of President Obama is a bad idea, are you aware of what the left has done to President Bush for the last eight years (and is still continuing to do today?) Maybe you'd better check out the Will Ferrell play running in Washington, D.C. today to get a feel for the kind of "respectful" treatment President Bush has received from the left. Here's a link to a description of the play: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29092342/
If I've accidentally stooped to the level of the left, I apologize. But I don't think I'm even close.
