Norm Coleman Sues Over Dubious Minnesota Senate Recount Result

As well he should.

Now suddenly the media are anxious to get the election over with by having Coleman concede.  Are voters willing to wait any longer for Minnesota Senate election results, they ask?

Sorry, chumps.

If we could wait two long months for Minnesota to find "missing" ballots that favored Franken, to count some absentee ballots and not others in a way that favored Franken, to use election night results in some precincts and not in others to favor Franken, and to look squinty-eyed at every Coleman ballot . . .

. . . we can certainly wait a good while longer for Coleman to challenge the whole bizarre "recount" in court.

It's nothing but the integrity of our democracy at stake.  If you care.

Gina, while I agree that Coleman absolutely should sue over the results, I would like to point out that the United States of America is NOT!!! a democracy! It never has been nor should it EVER be. The United States of America is a REPUBLIC. Remember the pledge.."I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, One nation, under God, indivisible with Liberty and Justice for all." The reason it is important to make this distinction, is that a democracy is "mob rule". The piece of paper standing between our citizens and "mob rule" is our Constitution, which is taking a beating to say the least. January 20th 2009 marks the impending death to our Constitution. A Usurper will be coronated and our Republic will no longer exist.
