What To Do About Russia

ALL OF THESE ARE NON-VIOLENT SELF DEFENSE MEASURES
(1) Expel Russia from NATO in all forms, ASAP
(2) Expel them from the G-8, ASAP
(3) Prevent them from joining the World Trade Organization
(4) Agitate to expel them from the UN Security council. The Russian population is declining by 700,000 per year, they are among the poorest countries in Europe, and their military is mostly obsolete. Graph from Spengler:
(5) Form an International Council of Democracies , and shift most funding away from the UN to the Council of Democracies. (Join the campaign here)
(6) End all space cooperation with Russia and prevent them from access to the Space Station. Prevent NASA from buying Russian rocket services. Use US rockets to replace the Soyuz freighters that service the space station.
(7) Restrict Russian access to Western capital markets.
(8) Form a European petroleum buying cartel to purchase petroleum from Russia. Then the cartel can equitably distribute the petroleum to the members of the cartel. This would prevent Russia from bullying specific neighbors. For example, the Czech Republic recently authorized the installation of US radar systems to counter Iranian missile attacks on Europe. The next day, Russia cut their exports of oil to the Czech Republic by about 50%.
(9) Promote the export of Iraqi Oil to Europe.
(10) Promote American nuclear power and electric vehicles
(11) Promote the development of US Oil Shale fields, the Bakken Field, and ANWAR
(12) Promote the development of Montana coal deposits for conversion to gasoline, diesel fuel and methanol.
(13) Double US investment and involvement in the Alberta and Saskatchewan Oil Sands
(14) Promote nuclear power and electric vehicles in Europe
(15) Speed up the NATO membership process for Georgia, the Ukraine, and Macedonia.
(16) Provide at least 3,000 NATO military advisers to the Georgian armed forces. Some advisers should come from every NATO country.
(17) Establish a NATO navy base on Georgia’s coast of the Black Sea.
(18) Establish a NATO airbase in Armenia, close to Georgia.
(19) Publish detailed explanations of all Russian military systems on the internet. Include details on how to defeat and/or destroy the systems. Provide training in the use of this information for all NATO members.
(20) In Georgia, near Tbilisi, the capital, install patriot ant-aircraft and anti-missile batteries, to provide complete coverage of the capital from all non-nuclear threats from the air.
(21) Surround Tbilisi with generous quantities of GPS-guided MLRS systems (HIMARS), capable of destroying Russian tanks.
(22) Station NATO aircraft in Tbilisi and declare Georgia airspace a no-fly zone for other nations.
(23) Encourage skilled Russians to move to the West. They have always made good citizens here. Make emigration visas easy for any Russian with a useful set of skills and the right attitude.
(24) Finish the Star Wars anti-missile shield system. 87% of Americans want it.
Pro Patria

Is my opinion that even Zbigniew Brzezinsky could not do this list better somehow politically incorrect or insulting?
Just explain, why are you SO afraid of Russia, if the data in point 4 is correct? Why to do so many costly steps?
Do you really think that a smaller part of the Globe (point 5) should decide destiny of the world?
Do you really think NASA will listen and cease ALL space program, as they have no rockets at the time to substitute our Soyuz'? And shuttles are supposed to die soon?
And the funniest point No. 23. First, there is a back draft already; some Russians who emigrated in 1990-s, come back; here they often get more possibilities than in the world of free enterpise -- quite a surprise, yeah? But who is supposed to judge what 'the right attitude' is? Don't you see your idea sounds racist?.
Well. Seriously, I do not understand why are you so afraid of Russia. You contradict yourself.
Yuo propose to protect Tbilisi, but nobody goes to take it over. You seem to enjoy McCain -- who openly declares that in 21 century countries do not intervene other countries... IN EUROPE! But what about Africa and Asia, the biggest part of the world population? Do you think they have no right of self-determination? That civilized Europeans/Americans are solely entitled to ensure their future?
Once, when the Socialist Revolution in Russia was young, there existed an idea that we -- Bolsheviks/Communists -- had to bring the mankind to happiness with an iron hand (meaning ignis et ferro).
And now you propose same approach, going to establish democracy worldwide with bayonets and smoking barrels, threatening those who disagree. What a historical irony!

This guy sounds like a terrible terrorist. They have no lawyers. They are treated as guilty before proven so.
