Iraq: Darkest Before the Dawn

Freedom is not free.

In Iraq, a particularly fierce battle is being waged to prevent democracy from putting down deep roots.

The latest atrocity is the torture and murder of at least 33 people, whose bodies were found scattered around Iraq.

Whoever did this is certainly no friend of democracy, nor of due process.  They are, on the contrary, evil to their deepest core.

They must be defeated.

Anybody who thinks otherwise is forgetting that when evil is allowed to prosper, it eventually expands the reach of those it harms.  Eventually, it will reach you or those you love.

Let's not forget that.  We in the West need to rally and unify behind those who are fighting this cancer.
